Organic produce has numerous benefits. First is the use of natural pest control in organic farming. For example, beneficial insects (like ladybugs) rather than toxic chemicals are used to control pests such as aphids. The benefits of eating produce that was not sprayed with toxic chemicals extends beyond the consumer. Farmers that grow their produce using organic methods are not exposed to high concentrations of pesticides as their conventional counterparts. Also, the soil and our water supply is damaged and contaminated by conventional farming methods, not so with organic farms.

Most people would like to provide their families with pesticide and chemical-free food. However, we kow the cost of organic is higher, but well worth it in the long run.

While it may not be possible to go completely organic where you live, it is definitely reasonable to add organics to your families’ diet.

In order to protect your family from alarmingly high concentration of pesticides it is best to go organic when purchasing these items or substitute another item altogether. Most of these foods have thin skins so the pesticides are absorbed. Washing won’t remove these harmful chemicals which makes these foods particularly dangerous.
